There is a very high demand for the orphanage to take children in need, so much so that we must turn down around 15 requests each month.

This is understandably hard to do and we have now decided to build a new orphanage which will accommodate more children. The old building housed almost 30 children between the ages of 4 and 16. Some of them must share a bed while the teenagers have no privacy.

To this end, we have bought a plot of land and had final plans to construct a new building drawn up by the Engineering Ministries International. The new site will have double the capacity and will be completely adapted to allow the physically handicapped to move around more freely. In March 2012, we moved into the first building whose foundation stone was laid in July.  A first important step that give us hope to complete the whole project within the next 5 years.

We have raised 30% of the funds required for construction, and are currently looking for ways to raise the founds to begin the construction of a second building by the end of 2012.
